Capsules:
XENICAL^®: ORLISTAT (OR-li-stat), 120mg dosage, is only available with a prescription; by Roche Pharmaceuticals

Used for:
This medicine is a gastrointestinal lipase inhibitor used to treat individuals with severe weight problems.

Before taking:
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. Cyclosporine should be taken at least 2 hours before or after orlistat to assure maximum absorption of the cyclosporine into your bloodstream. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and nonprescription medicine that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. USE OF THIS MEDICINE IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have a history of malabsorption syndrome or gallbladder conditions. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking this medicine.

Directions for Xenical^®:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. THIS MEDICINE COMES WITH A PATIENT INFORMATION LEAFLET. READ IT CAREFULLY. Ask your doctor about any questions that you may have about this medicine. Store this Medicine at room temperature, in a cool dark location.

Pre-Cautions:
DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSEAGE. Exceeding the recommended dose will not make you lose more weight. Keep all laboratory and doctor appointments while you are using this medicine. Before you begin taking any new medicine, either prescription or nonperscription, check with your doctor or pharmacist. It is unknown if this medicine is excreted in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine. IF YOU HAVE DIABETES, this medicine may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely and ask your doctor before adjusting the dose of your diabetes medicine.

Side effects:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medicine include oily stools or spotting, increased number of bowel movements, bowel movement urgency, lack of bowel movement control, or gas with discharge. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor.

Drug interactions:
DRUG INTERACTIONS can result in unwanted side effects or prevent a medicine from doing its job. Please check with your Doctor or Pharmacist to determine if you have drug interaction problem.

Overdose:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

FOLLOW THE DIETARY PLAN provided by your doctor. Your daily intake of fat should be divided evenly over 3 meals. When you eat food high in fat you increase the chance of side effects as listed above. DO NOT SHARE THIS MEDICINE WITH OTHERS for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE for other health conditions. KEEP THIS MEDICINE out of the reach of children. IF USING THIS MEDICINE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, obtain refills before your supply runs out.
